Don't Shop at Sofa Mart!!!!

As many of you know I went to Sofa Mart to purchase my new couch, over sized chair and ottoman on 7/12/08. They were having a huge sale and I found a set that I liked for $1,100. When I purchased my furniture the sales man "josh" told me it would be delivered in 1-2 weeks.
Well, 2 weeks went by and I had not heard a word so I called and the sales person told me that my furniture had some in but there was a problem with it so they had to send it back. He told me it would be an additional week to a week and 1/2. So after a week I called back to check the status. This time the sales person told me that this set was on back order and there were seven other people that placed orders before me that were still waiting on this product. I told him what the person prior had told me and he said there was NO WAY that my furniture could have come in.

So, last week Kirk and I went to Soft Mart to see what was "really" going on. I told the sales guy Patrick that I wanted to cancel my order. He pulled up my account and told me that there were now 30 people in Amarillo waiting on this set. He apologized for all the confusion and told me if I still wanted it that he would talk to his manager to see if they could give me another discount. He was also completely bashing Ashley's and Bob Mills furniture. Kirk and I decide that we did not want the couch that we had ordered but we would look around to see what we could find. While we were looking around Patrick came back to me and said that if I would have looked at my invoice I would have seen that Josh had put allow 3-4 weeks for delivery. Then he told me that Josh gave me a "friends and family discount" so Josh had really hooked me up. This really ticked me off because my total bill came to $1200. How could he have "really hooked me up"? While Patrick was off doing whatever he was doing Kirk and I left.

When I got home I pulled out my bill. They charged me $1500 for the 3 piece set, then gave me a friend and family discount which brought my bill back down to $1200. If they would have done the sale right by charging me $1100 and "really hooked me up" I would have only paid $685. That would have been nice huh?!?!

A similar story happen to my friend Amy. She bought a table from them. She said they called her to come get it and when she went up there the sales person told her that it was not in and her sales person never ordered it!!!!

These people at Furniture Row STINK!!! They are rude, have AWFUL sales tactics and THEY LIE!!!!!!
